日米ネービー友好協会は、海上自衛隊と米海軍との友好親善及び相互理解の増進に寄与することを目的としています。会員は、海上自衛隊出身者を正規会員とし、一般の個人及び法人の賛助会員により構成されています。

2025.3.11 「主要活動」に日本文化紹介「銅御殿研修」とホームステイ支援を掲載しました。また、令和６年度と令和５年度を別ページで閲覧できるようにしました。
2025.4. 1 昨年１０月から実施していた試験運用を終了し、本格運用に移行しました。「よくある質問」、「お問い合わせ」を追加しました。「入会案内」に入会フォームを追加しました。
2025.4.10 「主要活動」に部隊研修「米空母及び海自潜水艦研修」を掲載しました。
2025.5.12 会長交代にともない、新会長のご挨拶を掲載しました。

会長ご挨拶
こんにちは、日米ネービー友好協会(JANAFA)ウェブサイトにようこそ。令和7年4月にJANAFA会長に就任致しました渡邊です。
さて、今年は第二次世界大戦終結から80年。戦後、日本と米国は、地域で最も重要な同盟国となり、とりわけその中で、海上自衛隊と米海軍は、ともに海の上から地域の安全保障に貢献するという共通理念のもと、脈々と信頼関係と友情を築き、今や「自由で開かれたインド太平洋(FOIP)」という価値観を共有する欠くことのできないパートナーとなっています。
そんな海上自衛隊と米海軍の関係強化を、退職自衛官の立場から、そして会の趣旨に賛同される賛助会員の皆様とともに支援するためにJANAFAは設立されました。今後とも、更なる相互理解と友好親善の場を提供するとともに、特に日本に赴任された米海軍軍人とそのご家族などには、もっと「日本」を知ってもらうためのイベント活動などに積極的に取り組んでまいりますので、引き続き、当会の活動に対するご理解とご支援を賜りますようお願い申し上げます。
なおJANAFAウェブサイトは、暫く運用を休止しておりましたが、令和６年１0月より試験運用を開始し、令和７年4月１日に本格運用を再開いたしました。今後、当会の活動に対する発信を続けていきたいと思いますので、本ウェブサイトにより当会の活動をご覧いただければ幸甚です。

Message from the President of JANAFA
Welcome to the website of the U.S.-Japan Navy Friendship Association (JANAFA). My name is Watanabe, and I was appointed president of JANAFA in April 2025.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. Since the post-war period, Japan and the United States have become the most important allies in this region. In particular, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) and the U.S. Navy have built a strong bond of trust and friendship based on a shared vision of contributing to regional security from the sea. Today, they are indispensable partners who share the common values of a Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP).
JANAFA was established to support the strengthening of the relationship between the JMSDF and the U.S. Navy from the perspective of retired members of the Japan Maritime Self-defense Force with general supporting members who share the organization's objectives. Going forward, we will continue to provide opportunities for mutual understanding and friendship, and actively engage in events and activities aimed at helping U.S. Navy personnel stationed in Japan and their families gain a deeper understanding of Japan. We ask for your continued understanding and support of our activities.
Please note that the JANAFA website has been temporarily suspended, but we have resumed trial operations as of October 2024 and resumed full operations on April 1, 2025. We will continue to provide updates on our activities through this website.Please visit our website for more information.
