(General Assembly, Lecture, Reception, Certificate of Appreciation Ceremony)
| （１）総 会
令和７年４月１１日（金）、メルキュールホテル横須賀において、令和７年度ＪＡＮＡＦＡ総会を開催し、令和６年度事業報告及び同決算報告、令和７年度事業計画及び同収支予算案、並びに、新役員案について審議され、承認されました。それに伴い、会長が道満誠一から渡邊剛次郎に交代しました。
General Assembly On Friday, April 11, 2025, JANFA General Assembly was held at the Mercure Yokosuka Hotel. At the assembly, the 2024 activity report and financial statement, the 2025 activity plan and budget proposal, and new administrative board menbers proposal were approved.Accordingly , the President was changed from Doman Seiichi to Watanabe Gojiro.
（２）講演会
総会に引き続き、海上幕僚長齋藤海将から「海上自衛隊の取組と今後の方向性～日米共同の深化と防衛力整備を中心に～」と題して、我が国を取り巻く安全保障環境及び日米共同を含めた自衛隊の活動、防衛力整備等の今後の取組について講演を頂きました。
Lecture Following the general assembly, Admiral Saito, Chief of Staff of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, gave a lecture entitled "The Maritime Self-DefenseForce's Initiatives and Future Direction - Focusing on Deepening Japan-U.S. Cooperation and Defense Force Development," in which he discussed the security environment surrounding Japan, the activities of the Self-Defense Forces, including Japan-U.S. cooperation, and future initiatives such as defense force development.
（３）懇親会・感謝状贈呈式
講演会後、在日米海軍司令官ジョンソン少将、海上幕僚長齋藤海将をお招きし、会員及び海自や米海軍を含めて約２４０名が参加して懇親会を実施しました。また、海上自衛隊と米海軍の相互理解に尽力した海上自衛隊及び米海軍の４部隊に感謝状と記念の盾を贈呈しました。
Reception and Certificate of Appreciation Ceremony After the lecture, a reception was held with the participation of about 240 people, including JMSDF and the US Navy members, and was attended by Rear Admiral Johnson, Commander of the US Navy in Japan, and Admiral Saito. In addition, certificate of appreciation and commemorative plaques were presented to four JMSDF and US Navy units that have contributed to the mutual understanding between the JMSDF and the US Navy.

（２）講演会
総会に引き続き、海上幕僚長齋藤海将から「海上自衛隊の取組と今後の方向性～日米共同の深化と防衛力整備を中心に～」と題して、我が国を取り巻く安全保障環境及び日米共同を含めた自衛隊の活動、防衛力整備等の今後の取組について講演を頂きました。

（３）懇親会・感謝状贈呈式
講演会後、在日米海軍司令官ジョンソン少将、海上幕僚長齋藤海将をお招きし、会員及び海自や米海軍を含めて約２４０名が参加して懇親会を実施しました。また、海上自衛隊と米海軍の相互理解に尽力した海上自衛隊及び米海軍の４部隊に感謝状と記念の盾を贈呈しました。

【令和７年度】部隊研修
2025 Unit Tour
| （１）練習艦隊「かしま」体験航海 令和７年６月３日（火）、賛助会員１５名の参加を得て、練習艦「かしま」の体験航海に参加してきました。乗艦の際、練習艦隊司令官渡邊海将補の出迎えを受け、参加者からは感激の声が上がっていました。当日は多くの艦艇が横須賀港に停泊しており、逸見岸壁出港後、練習艦隊司令官に対する「自衛艦の敬礼」を間近で見学することができました。天気は雨模様でしたが、司令官公室など貴重な場所も含めて艦内を見学できたほか、様々なイベントが用意されており、参加した賛助会員の皆様は３時間の航海を満喫されていました。最期は羽田空港沖を通過し、東京国際クルーズターミナルに入港、無事に航海を終えることができました。
Public Cruise on Training Squadron, "Kashima"今回、海上自衛隊からの急遽のお誘いであったこともあり、メールにて賛助会員の方にご案内いたしました。今後も、このような機会がありましたら、メールにてご案内いたします。皆様の積極的なご参加をお待ちしております。 On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, 15 Supporting Members participated in an short cruise for public on the training vessel "Kashima". The participants were impressed because greeted by Rear Admiral Watanabe, the commander of the Training Squadron (COMTRARON), upon boarding the "Kashima". On the day, many JMSDF ships were moored at Yokosuka, and after departing from Hemi Pier, the COMTRARON were received the "JMSDF ship salute" from those JMSDF ships, which the participants were able to observe closely. Unfortunately it was rainy, but they were able to tour the inside of the ship, including valuable places such as the Commander's Saloon. And various events were prepared, so the those members enjoyed the three-hour cruise. At the end, the ship passed off the coast of Haneda Airport and entered the Tokyo International Cruise Terminal.

【令和７年度】日本文化紹介
2025 Introduction to Japanese culture
| （１）小田原北條五代祭り 令和７年５月３日（土）、米海軍厚木航空施設司令 ルクレア大佐、米海軍横須賀病院長 ヴェラスケス大佐をはじめ、ご家族等をお招きして、毎年この日に開催される小田原「北條五代祭り」の研修に参加していただきました。当日は好天に恵まれ、城郭や甲冑姿に身を固めた武者達によるパレードを見学したほか、市内の神社関係者のご協力により、パレードに参加する神輿やその準備作業、巫女舞の儀式等についても間近に見学する機会を得て、より深く日本文化に触れていただくことができました。
The Odawara Hojo Godai Festival On Saturday, May 3, 2025, JANAFA invited CO. US Naval Air Facility Atsugi Capt. Leclerc, CO. US Naval Hospital Yokosuka Capt. Velazquez, and their families and staffs to participate in the “Hojo Godai Festival” which is held in Odawara every year on this day. The day was blessed with good weather, and in addition to viewing the Odawara castle and a parade of warriors dressed in armor, with the cooperation of shrine officials in the city, we had the opportunity to see up close the “Mikoshi (portable shrine)” participating in the parade and the shrine maiden dance ceremony, allowing them to experience Japanese culture more deeply.

「北條五代祭り」は今年で６１回目を迎える小田原最大の観光イベントで、１５世紀後半に約１００年に亘り、小田原から関東一帯を治めた北條一族五代の栄枯盛衰をに偲ぶ祭りです。武者や町衆など、総勢１７００名から成るパレードは圧巻であり、この日の来場者は約２４万人と発表されました。

The ”Hojo Godai Festival”, now in its 61st year, is Odawara's biggest tourist event, and is a festival that commemorates the rise and fall of the five generations of the Hojo clan, who ruled from Odawara to the Kanto region for about 100 years in the late 15th century. The parade, consisting of a total of 1,700 warriors and townspeople, was a spectacular sight, and it was announced that about 240,000 people visited the event that day.

【令和７年度】ホームステイ支援
|
５月２８日（水）から６月１３日（金）まで日本を研修した米海軍士官候補生４名（男女各２名）は、５月３０日（金）から６月２日（月）までの間、それぞれホストファミリー４家族の下でホームステイを経験しました。わずか３泊４日の短い滞在でしたが、忘れえぬ経験だったと思われ、６月２日朝、次の研修地への移動のために東京駅に集合した彼らの顔は、生き生きと輝いて見えました。今回の米海軍士官候補生による日本研修の概要とホストファミリーのみなさんの感想は、１月発行予定のＪＡＮＡＦＡ第６９号に掲載される予定です。
Homestay support for U.S. Navy midshipmen Four U.S. Navy midshipmen (two men and two women) who trained in Japan from Wednesday, May 28 to Friday, June 13 experienced a homestay with four host families from Friday, May 30 to Monday, June 2.Although it was only a short stay of 3 nights and 4 days, it was an unforgettable experience, and their faces lit up as they gathered at Tokyo Station on the morning of June 2 to move on to the next training site.An overview of the U.S. Navy midshipmen's training in Japan and the impressions of the host families will be published in JANAFA No. 69, which is scheduled to be published in January.
